It would be easy to give in to the urge to look forward. Tecumseh returns every starter next season and its promising future can alleviate the pain of its loss in Tuesday’s Division 2 state quarterfinal. But the future holds no guarantees and Tecumseh’s remarkable 2023-24 season deserves reflection.

Thank you to the well-wishers. It was a memorable three and a half years at the Tecumseh Herald. So many local teams and athletes accomplished great things and that trend will continue in the years to come.

Update: This is my final day at the Tecumseh Herald. It was a privilege to cover communities that are so passionate about athletics. I’m grateful that the Herald provided me the opportunity, but it is time for me to pursue something different.
