    A driver was reportedly cited Wednesday for failure to yield after a collision on Cedar City's Main Street. The incident, which was reported at approximately 5:45 p.m., occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Coal Creek Road and involved a white Nissan compact sedan and a black GMC pickup truck. Cedar City Police said the driver of the Nissan was preparing to turn left onto Coal Creek Road when they turned in front of the pickup truck, which struck the Nissan's front passenger side door.

    Two Cedar City residents received lengthy prison terms this week for supplying a lethal amount of fentanyl to a 31-year-old woman who died one year ago. John Parry, 40, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, while Kimberly Dawn Hare, 34, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The sentences were imposed by U.S. District Court Judge Ann Marie McIff Allen in St. George on Wednesday.

    ST. GEORGE — Two of the four men charged in connection with the Jan. 17 shooting death of KayLee Dutton entered guilty pleas on Tuesday. Michael Edward Hess-Witucki, 23, and Aldric S. Felipe, 21, appeared separately in Cedar City's 5th District Court before Judge Meb Anderson. As previously reported, the men, along with two other codefendants, were arrested in Cedar City on Jan. 18 following an extensive manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

    Crimson Cliffs High School standout golfer Kate Walker is out for the remainder of the high school girls golf season after being injured in a car crash in St. George, St. George News Sports has learned. Jason Walker confirmed that his 17-year-old daughter was the driver of a blue Volkswagen sedan that was involved in a crash at 900 S. Bluff Street at approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Scary RV fire at campsite next to ours at Spruces campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon. It started around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, July 18. Both occupants were able to safely evacuate. Quick response from Unified Fire Authority kept the flames from spreading to the surrounding forest. https://t.co/LJBArJiwFd
