Smith noted that when Aggies' boss Mike Elko took the job that he brought Colin Klein from Kansas State as his offensive coordinator, Klein was known for using a lot of shifting, motion, and formations. It enabled them to compete every season even though they didn't have the physical talent that some teams had in the Big 12.

New Texas A&M running back commit KJ Edwards runs like a contact balance runner who can absorb contact and stay on his feet through the first and second levels of the defense to get into space. He doesn't even always run with a low center of gravity in order to do this. His powerful legs drive him through arm tackles and enable him to find open lanes even when plays aren't blocked well. Edwards also can redirect multiple times after the ball gets in his hands as both a runner and receiver.

Five star athlete Brandon Arrington (Spring Valley Mount Miguel High School in California) is a tall, rangy player who is another sub 11.0 second commit for Texas A&M in its 2026 recruiting class. However, in terms of playing wideout and corner, his main attribute on film is probably his coordination. Despite his height, he is not an easy guy to play off of his feet. Arrington absorbs blows, adjusts to balls in the air, and doesn't lose his balance.
