It's best-of-the-best time for the Erie Times-News Seaway Window and AHN Sports athlete of the week polls. Regular polls will resume in early April, when District 10's spring sports seasons are under way in full. Until then, ballots that feature the top vote-getters for each Erie County school that boasted a winner during the just-concluded winter season will be posted as a way to bridge the gap.

He’s one of five Penn State University wrestlers on a poster which outlines the Nittany Lions’ 2022-23 schedule. Starocci won his third NCAA Division I championship that season before becoming the sport's sixth four-time champ a year later. Starocci’s photo also hangs inside Penn State’s Lorenzo Wrestling Complex.

What should a track athlete do when an opponent impedes their path? That question flooded social media following the above viral video from a high school track and field meet in Virginia. One relay runner is shown striking another with their baton after an opponent entered their lane. The aggressor claims the indecent was unintentional. The victim, however, was left with a concussion and possible skull fracture.

Starocci, a four-time NCAA champion, aims for a historic fifth title at 184 pounds.
