CUMBERLAND — The 18-year-old city man arrested on attempted murder charges in connection with the June 30 shooting of a Cumberland woman was taken into custody Tuesday when he appeared in court on an unrelated matter, according to Cumberland Police Chief Chuck Ternent. The arrest of Kaleb Jas York in connection with the shooting of Celina Smith was made without incident before York was jailed without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center. “The arrest was pretty unremarkable.
