1 INTRODUCTION Group living, at least early during life, has been described in numerous arthropod taxa, including butterflies (Allen, 2010; Tullberg & Hunter, 1996), beetles (Costa et al., 2007; Deneubourg et al., 1990), harvestmen (Machado et al., 2000), scorpions (Pandey et al., 2021), spiders (Lesne et al., 2016), and others.
