Mobile satellite communications and IT services provider Speedcast entered into a strategic partnership agreement with cloud-based network management solutions company Antamedia, the companies announced Tuesday. As a result, Speedcast will gain access to Antamedia’s Enterprise WiFi Hotspot and Digital Guide Hospitality software and integrate them in the latest release of the Speedcast SIGMA intelligent network management platform for mobile end-users.

Israeli satellite network technology company Gilat Satellite Networks received a $40 million contract from an unnamed customer for its virtualized, 5G-NTN-ready SkyEdge IV platform, the company announced Tuesday. Gilat expects to deliver the SkyEdge IV platform within two years. “We are excited to support new software-defined satellites, delivering a virtualized next-generation ground segment architecture”, said Ron Levin, President Commercial Division at Gilat.

Space transportation company Impulse Space raised a staggering $300 million in a Series C funding round led by Linse Capital. The cash haul ranks as one of the largest venture rounds in the history of the space industry and brings Impulse’s total capital raised to $525 million. Established in 2021 by SpaceX founding member Tom Mueller, the architect behind SpaceX’s Merlin engine family, Impulse quickly went to market with its Mira maneuverable space vehicle for payload hosting and deployment.
