The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) issued a contract to Astroscale‘s U.S. subsidiary to conduct two hydrazine refueling operations of a U.S. Space Force (USSF) satellite in Geostationary Orbit (GEO). Astroscale U.S. will use its 300-kilogram Refueler spacecraft, scheduled to launch in the summer of 2026, to complete the mission.

Satellite operator SES signed a new capacity agreement with Brazilian DTH pay-TV provider Mileto Tecnologia. The broadcaster announced the deal on Monday, stating it would use capacity on the SES-6 satellite, located at 40.5 degrees West, to provide HD channels to over 600,000 TV households across Brazil. Mileto said the agreement will support its recent acquisition of infrastructure and subscribers from Oi TV, one of Brazil’s largest satellite pay-TV services.

Charter Communications and Comcast will partner with Skylo to launch satellite-based cellular services on consumer devices in the coming weeks, the companies announced Thursday. Charter’s Spectrum Mobile and Comcast’s Xfinity Mobile will give customers using the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Google Pixel 9 devices access to emergency messaging services when they are not connected to either a cellular or WiFi network.
