    Open the crate (or barrel or chest or whatever) and then click the right thumbstick to search it. This opens your inventory next to the crate’s inventory and lets you stash stuff in it. Select one of the item you want to duplicate — click on it, and then hit the left shoulder button (LB or L1) to drop the number to one. Confirm that, and it will move to the crate.
