With Record Store Day happening on April 12, 2025, it only seems fitting to talk about a new book coming out next month all based on the music of the 1980’s. Boy, that was a time, wasn’t it? Big hair, Spandex and neon-colored…everything. And as always, the music that we chose to listen to often reflected how we were feeling at the time.

The city of Austin, Minnesota is home to a free museum that really hams it up. That’s right, Spam, the canned meat that comes in those shiny, blue rectangle cans, operates a museum dedicated to itself. As they say on their website, the museum “puts a whole new spin on ‘cubism’”. Seriously, this is a real thing and has been since 1991. The Walt Disney company is still smarting from the fact that the live action Snow White has been a flop. While this has been disappointing news, Disney is not immune from releasing a dud here and there. This pertains to animated films too. In fact, many people thought that the original 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs would be a flop too. Fast forward to Walt Disney Animation Studio’s 62nd film, Wish. It opened in theaters on November 22, 2023 and ticket sales were less than stellar.

That’s NOT all folks! Early this morning, just about every news outlet reported that Wile E. Coyote will have his day in court after all. The long-awaited yet cancelled film, Coyote vs. Acme has been brought back to life thanks to Ketchup Entertainment. The distributor who took a chance on the hit, The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, has acquired the rights to the Coyote film.
