    So much of what we do as communicators is about persuading people to change their behaviour, whether that means getting someone to take action, think differently, or remember something. This is as much about psychology and neuroscience as it is about linguistics. Most of us know that repeating information makes it more likely someone will remember it. And yes, while it might seem that correcting myths with facts is a smart thing to do, research shows such strategies can actually do the opposite.
