On March 1, President Donald J. Trump issued a new executive order designating English as the official language of the United States. The order strongly encouraged all federal agencies to offer services and produce documents strictly in English. Since its founding, the U.S. has never had an official language. In fact, there were around 250 different Native American languages spoken in the U.S. before European settlers arrived.

William Shakespeare’s iconic but frankly overplayed story “Romeo and Juliet” has been revived on Broadway 36 times. “Romeo + Juliet,” starring “Heartstopper” actor Kit Connor and “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” lead actress Rachel Zegler, marks the play’s 37th revival. It’s easy to rashly judge yet another revival, especially a Generation Z take on Shakespeare.
