DOVER – Del-One Federal Credit Union and Louviers Federal Credit Union are about to form a new union – a merger that would offer new products, services and opportunities to thousands of Delawareans. Both organizations have decades-long legacies of banking service in the First State; Del-One was founded in 1960 and Louviers was founded just eight years later. And both continue to be financially sound, according to Del-One President & CEO Dan McCarthy.

MILFORD – Susan Lloyd says the team at Delaware Hospice took a chance on her 38 years ago when the young nursing administrator became its newest CEO. Now, she’s gearing up for a new challenge – retirement. Delaware Hospice first began offering services in the First State just five years before Lloyd took the role over after several organizational changeovers in that short amount of time.

DOVER – Delaware is gearing up for a year-long party more than two centuries in the making as leaders prepare for the state and the country’s 250th anniversary. Formally called the semiquincentennial, Delaware 250 Anniversary Coordinator Margaret Hughes said celebrations of all sizes are already planned throughout the state. The entity began through a collaboration with the Delaware Heritage Commission and the Delaware Public Archives in hopes of making the upcoming celebration year a success.

DAGSBORO – US Wind has proposed another round of financial support to be offered to both Delaware and Maryland as its new wind farm in federal waters continues to make waves. The Maryland-based company plans on bringing more than 100 wind turbines to Delaware’s Sussex County coastline and has received multiple approvals for the process including green lights from both federal and state entities.
