TORONTO, ON — On Wednesday, most of the wreckage was off the runway in Toronto after the flight from Minneapolis crash-landed there Monday afternoon. Investigators say the plane is in a nearby hangar as the investigation continues. "It was quite a deal," said Volkman. "I’m pretty lucky." He drove home from Toronto starting on Tuesday — a 15-hour commute. His things are still in the wreckage, except for his passport.

HUDSON, Wis. (KARE 11) - A former Hudson elementary school teacher is now set to stand trial after a preliminary hearing Monday. Madison Bergmann faces 10 felony charges for allegedly starting an inappropriate relationship with her fifth-grade student. Among the charges included in the amended complaint filed against Bergmann on Aug. 15 are child enticement, sexual misconduct by school staff and use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.

SIREN, Wis. — A 12-year-old boy saved his dad from a bear attack at their cabin north of River Falls in Siren, Wisconsin. Owen Beierman says he shot the bear when it started mauling his dad, Ryan. The two had been hunting at the beginning of September when it happened. Ryan says Owen first spotted the bear that day and shot at it but missed. The injured animal ran into the woods and the two waited before going after it.

MILLTOWN, Wis. (KARE 11) - Investigators are working to confirm if weather is to blame for a fire that destroyed a community staple in a small western Wisconsin town. Witnesses say a tree fell on a power line during Monday’s thunderstorms, and that sparked the blaze at the Milltown community center. Milltown is near Luck and Balsam Lake, Wisconsin.

MINNEAPOLIS — On Tuesday, Minneapolis-based Target announced another quarter of declining sales — making it three in a row. But just as soon as the news came out, it also launched a plan to help turn things around and it starts with a new paid membership plan. "There's just a lot of enthusiasm around going to Target, but I think the last year shows that's not enough for them," said Wall Street Journal retail reporter Sarah Nassauer.
