TULSA, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation closed I-44 Westbound over Peoria after a patch on the bridge broke off. 2 News told you about the repair job last month: Local News The road was closed just after 8:30 a.m. on Memorial Day. There were no reports of injuries or damage to cars after pieces of the patch fell from the bridge above onto Peoria. We will let you know when the road opens back up.

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Smoke at Public Service of Oklahoma substation in Broken Arrow left thousands without power on May 22. According to the Broken Arrow Fire Department, New Orleans Street between Aspen and Elm was closed. Drivers are recommended to avoid the area. OKLAHOMA CITY — State Auditor Cindy Byrd released the first part of her audit into the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (ODMHSAS). The audit was done at the request of Governor Kevin Stitt after concerns arose surrounding funding at the department. Local News “This report is a financial analysis to estimate the short-term needs of ODMHSAS. It is not the final investigative audit report,” said Auditor Byrd.

INOLA, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Governor Kevin Stitt announced a company based in the United Arab Emirates will invest $4 billion in the Tulsa Port of Inola on May 16. Emirates Global Aluminium is an aluminium production company. It plans to build a new production plant on 350 acres at the port. Stitt said the plant is expected to create 1,000 direct jobs and 1,800 indirect jobs. “This is a monumental day for Oklahoma,” said Governor Kevin Stitt.
