For autonomous vehicles (AVs) to travel safely, they require up-to-date, high-definition maps that accurately reflect their changing surroundings. If not continually revised, these maps quickly become outdated, increasing the risk of accidents and stalling the development of fully self-driving vehicles.

On May 31, 2024, Governor DeSantis signed the largest of three new bills that will have a significant impact on homeowners’ associations (HOAs). House Bill 1203, House Bill 59, and House Bill 293 introduce a range of new requirements and regulations that HOAs must comply with. The effective date for HB1203 and HB59 is July 1, 2024, while the effective date for HB293 was May 28, 2024.

House Bill 1029 established The My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program (the “Program”) effective July 1, 2024. This new Program aims to assist eligible condominium associations by offering hurricane mitigation inspections to determine how to reduce a property’s vulnerability to hurricane damage, as well as mitigation grants that can be used towards projects for hardening the property to improve its resilience against hurricanes.
