With more than 500 members, the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is one of the fastest growing chambers across the country. The Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC) has announced the Vernon Chamber as one of Canada’s top 10 fastest growing. In total, 100 chambers and boards of trade from across Canada completed in a CCEC survey, which revealed that 69 per cent of chambers experienced membership growth in 2024, an increase from 60.8 per cent in 2023.

Sweet Smiles Society founder Barrita Durward has been collecting her community's support through the annual Valentine's for Mexico Gala. The March 14 event marks its sweet 16th year in 2025, with an already sold-out evening at the Prestige Vernon Lodge. Funds raised from the event will benefit four separate projects spearheaded by Durward.
