Holy Cross football will have a new Patriot League foe in 2026. Villanova will join the PL as an associate member for football beginning in the 2026 season. “It’s super exciting,” Holy Cross coach Dan Curran said. “Any time you can add a program that has the history and tradition of Villanova, it’s going to elevate everybody.” During Villanova’s FCS tenure, the Wildcats have reached the FCS playoffs 16 times and advanced at least to the quarterfinals in 10 of those seasons.
