Coco Gauff’s streak of reaching the Roland-Garros quarter-finals continues! On Monday, the American player qualified for the last eight of the Paris Grand Slam for the fifth consecutive time, comfortably defeating Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No. 20 seed, 6-0, 7-5. In the first set, there was only one player on Court Philippe-Chatrier. With just three winners and 15 unforced errors, Ekaterina Alexandrova had a disastrous start against a completely in-control Coco Gauff.

Mirra Andreeva advanced to the Round of 16 at Roland-Garros for the second time in her career by defeating Yulia Putintseva 6-3, 6-1 on Saturday morning. The Russian, who reached the semifinals in Paris in 2024, continues to impress on clay. At just 18 years and 26 days old, Andreeva has now reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the fifth time, including twice at Roland-Garros.

There are now no Frenchmen left in the singles draw Arthur Fils (Julien Nouet/Tennis Majors) The news broke at 8.48pm with an email from the FFT announcing Arthur Fils’ withdrawal with these few lines: “Due to injury, Arthur Fils is forced to withdraw from the Roland-Garros 2025 tournament. He will hold a press conference tomorrow, Saturday 31 May, at 10.30am in interview room 1.”Fils will not be able to continue his Parisian adventure.
