Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly broke ground Tuesday on its $4.5 billion facility in Lebanon. The Lilly Medicine Foundry will be a research and development facility located at the LEAP industrial district in the city, northwest of Indianapolis. Lilly's planned investment in the area tops more than $13 billion. The new site will primarily focus on manufacturing medications and distributing them to patients.

April 24, 2025 This Friday over 1,000 volunteers plan to roll up their sleeves and get to work across central Indiana. About 80 nonprofits will work with volunteers on a variety of projects under the banner of Go All IN Day, coordinated by the United Way of Central Indiana. Margaret Matray from United Way says each nonprofit’s project is chosen based on what the organization needs.

April 24, 2025 Protesters lined the sidewalks alongside a strip of 96th Street Wednesday afternoon in a bid to catch the attention of U.S. Sen. Todd Young. Over 150 people attended the rally, calling for more accountability and transparency from their legislator. The event was organized by Indivisible Central Indiana and was located just outside of the Republican senator’s Far Northside office.

March 20, 2025 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana will once again collaborate with Indianapolis Motor Speedway in an effort to recruit mentors. The organization hopes to recruit 500 mentors by the time the green flag flies at the Indy 500. Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs adult volunteers with young people aged 8-18, to help youths with confidence, educational success and avoidance of risky behaviors.

March 19, 2025 The Indiana-based company MakeMyMove will offer $5,000 in incentives to remote workers who relocate to specific Central Indiana counties. The incentives include music and sports experiences, co-working and networking perks and fitness passes. They'll be available for remote workers moving to Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, Boone, Madison, Brown and Putnam counties.
