Europe is the world's leading tourist destination, but sustainable growth is key to its future. At the Destination Europe 2025 Summit, co-organised by Euronews and the European Travel Commission (ETC), leaders discussed solutions to overtourism and seasonality. A key focus was on promoting lesser-known regions and year-round activities to ease pressure on hotspots and benefit local communities. Green mobility and multimodal transport hubs were also highlighted as critical to reducing CO2 emissions.
