There’s something about ice hockey that is fascinating. Take the newly-crowned Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers, the nastiest team in the sport. They led the league in penalty minutes. They intimidate the hell out of competitors and they just won their second cup in a row.

Reading Time: 11 minutesElectric cars are a quantum leap forward in automotive design. Even mid-priced battery powered or EV cars are simply faster than nearly every uber-exotic car on the market. A new Rivian pickup truck (2.5 seconds) with the quad motor can actually win in a 0 to 60 race with a Lamborghini Gallardo (3.4 to 3.7 seconds). Let that sink in for a minute in terms of how we think of what a fast car is in today’s marketplace.

Reading Time: 10 minutesSpring is audiophile show season, and there is no one bigger, more pressing, scarier topic than American tariffs to most audiophile companies. Reading Time: 15 minutesOver 25 years ago at that year’s CES show, my team and I literally invented the concept of audiophile show coverage from a brand new suite at the then recently opened Bellagio. Jazz drives and dial-up modems were involved and, while the same basic format for AV show coverage is used by many AV publications today, it was one of the worst things that I’ve ever done professionally. The time and effort that it takes to compile such a show report is sheer insanity.
