The big news this week happened Wednesday night when a federal trade court ruled against the Trump administration regarding tariffs. I have the details as we know them at press time, and other tariff-related news headlines that caught my attention:A federal trade court threw a wrench into Donald Trump’s sweeping 2025 “Liberation Day” tariffs, ruling that the president exceeded his authority under emergency powers law when he imposed broad levies, including many targeting imported cars and parts.

I get a lot of callers to the Car Pro Show about how to buy a car for teenage drivers. I always suggest they have the child read carefully and sign a teen driver contract. An Austin-area judge came up with a wonderful teen driver contract and a link to the contract to go over with your teen. Here is the note he sent me. Saturday is May 31st, the end of the month, and as such, the current incentives for new vehicles will go until Monday night, June 2nd. That's great news if you missed the Memorial Day sales. Unfortunately, starting early in June, the car buying landscape will likely change, and not in your favor. We know the tariffs are about to hit prices, and I would be bet big bucks that incentives will go down.
