The Design Museum have announced ‘Splash! A Century of Swimming and Style’ opening to the public in March 2025 in celebration of our love of water: from Britain’s lido boom during the early 20th century, to the viral Mermaidcore trend of the 2020s. December’s line-up of gigs and signings at Rough Trade East is live with the launch of CHVRCHES frontwoman Lauren Mayberry’s debut solo album ‘Vicious Creature’, an in-conversation, book signing and DJ set from friend of Hoxton Radio’s Leroy Thornhill of The Prodigy and a one-off London event celebrating the publication of ‘fabric’, a visual and oral history of the legendary London club.

Sadler’s Wells East is set for launch next February 2025, making it the fourth venue in the network’s family of world-class dance theatres across the capital. The theatre is part of Stratford Olympic Park’s East Bank Development alongside the BBC, UAL’s London College of Fashion, UCL and the V&A. It will house a 550-seat theatre, as well as the new Rose Choreographic School and the hip hop theatre training centre, Academy Breakin’ Convention.

Beady-eyed Maccabees fans will have noticed the band’s Instagram teasers before the weekend and they have since announced a much-awaited reunion gig, set to headline Victoria Park’s All Points East on Sunday 25th August 2025. This will be their first show in eight years since 2017’s legendary farewell shows at Alexandra Palace, and will coincide with the 10th Anniversary of 2015’s landmark #1 album ‘Marks To Prove It’.
