An Oklahoma quarterback has hit the transfer portal before his career could really begin. Cole Gonzales is entering the portal after just a spring season in Norman. Gonzales will have one year of eligibility remaining. Gonzales was one of the Sooners' first portal additions in the winter window, committing on Christmas Day. Gonzales joined the Sooners after three seasons at Western Kentucky. Gonzales earned the full-time starting job as a true sophomore before excelling as a junior.

NORMAN — Hannah Coor has never tried to be a power hitter. Entering last weekend's series against Mississippi State, Coor had logged one home run in 79 at-bats. But something flipped against the Bulldogs. Coor absolutely crushed a two-run home run in the first game of the series. In the third game, she sailed another solo home run over the left field wall, a pivotal play as the Sooners rallied from a four-run deficit.

NORMAN — Oklahoma simply needed to take care of business over the weekend. The Sooners can confidently say they did. Patty Gasso's squad came away with a sweep over Mississippi State. They shutout the Bulldogs 4-0 in Game 1 before rallying back from back-to-back 4-0 deficits in Games 2 and 3, improving to 39-5 on the season and 13-5 in SEC play. The wins not only helped the Sooners bounce back from losing consecutive SEC series.

NORMAN — Signing point guard Aaliyah Chavez to the Sooners' 2025 recruiting classwas a monumental moment for the program. OU head coach Jennie Baranczyk knows it, too. After a length recruitment that featured dozens of Power Four programs in hot pursuit, the Sooners inked Chavez earlier this month. Chavez announced her commitment last month during a ceremony that was broadcast live on ESPN.
