Directed by Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi, who were the creators of the Danganronpa and Zero Escape franchises, respectively, The Hundred Line is a game that’s a make-or-break moment for their studio, because if it fails, it will most likely lead to the end of Too Kyo Games.

    While plenty of mythologies have been explored and mined in gaming, in my opinion, Scottish folklore tends to be underrepresented. Its inclusion is one of the reasons that Wales Interactive and Ant Workshop‘sInto the Restless Ruinsis so interesting to me, but that’s just scratching the surface. The game is a blend of various genres and ideas. Immediately, comparisons can be made in presentation and combat to Vampire Survivors, but that wouldn’t be the most accurate reflection.

For me, and probably for many gamers, that’s going to be its most important feature. From a consumer standpoint, there are no real negatives to buying a system that is backward compatible.
