AbstractPulmonary ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a major contributor to poor lung transplant outcomes. We recently demonstrated a central role of airway-centered NK cells in mediating IRI; however, there are no existing effective therapies for directly targeting NK cells in humans.
