Federal agents arrested St. Paul poet Isabel Lopez on Tuesday as she left an interview with independent journalist Georgia Fort. There was plenty of commotion at the scene, as the feds seem to prefer these days. “How did they know where she was? Was she being followed? Surveilled? Targeted—for speaking to the press?” Fort asked while sharing a video of the arrest.

It’s not just bike season—it’s boat season too. Think you’re not a boat person? Well, maybe you haven’t found the right type of boat yet. There's the pontoon, which is kinda like a living room that you drive around a lake. There are fishing boats, where your adventure (hopefully) ends in dinner. There are kayaks and canoes for people who want an arm workout, and paddleboats for those who never skip leg days. There are night boats, like the neon-lit swan boats for rent.

Welcome back to The Flyover, your daily digest of important, overlooked, and/or interesting Minnesota news stories. It’s been over 24 hours since south Minneapolis Mexican restaurant Las Cuatro Milpas was raided by the FBI, ICE, DEA, and ATF, with the aid of MPD and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. At least 100 community members, including our colleague Em Cassel, showed up to witness events. No arrests were made during the raid, though a handful of boxes were removed from the premises.

When the owners behind Hey Y’All Tipsy Taco Bar announced their concept for the former Betty Danger’s space (2501 Marshall St. NE, Minneapolis), the reception was mixed. Folks seemed happy that the Ferris wheel would live on, but paying $7 to $10 for a single taco seems awfully steep.
