The weatherboard beauty sits on the traditional lands of the Darug people in an enclave of about 40 river-fronted shacks with the Muogamarra Nature Reserve behind them. The dense, thriving parkland is open to the public for only six weeks of the year to protect its fragile ecosystems and significant Aboriginal cultural sites.
