PLAINVILLE - A 49-year-old Plainville man is facing domestic violence-related charges after he choked and threatened a victim, police said. Marcus Tedesco is charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, third-degree strangulation/suffocating, second-degree unlawful restraint and second-degree reckless endangerment, according to Plainville police.

HARTFORD - A report of shots fired on South Marshall Street late Tuesday morning led to the discovery of a victim in his 20s, police said. Officers responded to the 200 block of South Marshall Street around 11:49 a.m for reports of shots being fired, according to Hartford police Lt. Aaron Boisvert. The victim was located alert and conscious at the scene, Boisvert said, and was transported to the hospital. He did not further comment on the severity of the victim's injuries.

DANBURY — Three Danbury residents were apprehended after police conducted a raid at a Michael Street apartment, officials said. Investigators received "numerous citizen complaints regarding suspected narcotics activity at the residence" prior to Monday's raid, the Danbury Police Department said in a news release.

WATERBURY - A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being slashed with a knife during an altercation on Burton Street Monday, police said. Officers located the victim outside a residence with a laceration to his arm at around 8:21 p.m. Monday, Waterbury police Lt. Ryan Bessette said. The other man involved in the altercation ran off before officers arrived, Bessette said. The knife used in the fight was determined to be a small pocket knife, Bessette said.

WESTPORT - A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 south has caused delays Tuesday morning, according to officials. The state Department of Transportation reported the crash around 9 a.m. between exits 18 and 17. There may have been three cars involved, Connecticut State Police said, and minor injuries were reported. Traffic congestion was seen at 9:40 a.m. in the area and state police said a wrecker was being dispatched.
