This weekend may be a good time for gardening, but experts say it pays to be strategic about how you plant. Cornell University horticulture expert Professor Marvin Pritts said it has been an almost perfect winter and spring for gardeners. The Trump administration is claiming victory for its mass deportation campaign. But in central and northern New York, advocates for the immigrant community say ICE agents are going too far. On Wednesday, about 100 people gathered outside Syracuse City Hall, chanting and holding signs in support of local immigrants. Jessica Maxwell, executive director of the Workers’ Center of Central New York, said raids by ICE agents are out of control.
