Actors Emily Browning (One More Shot, American Gods), Lukas Gage (Euphoria, White Lotus) and Drake Rodger (Landman, The Winchesters) have joined the cast of Hulu and 20th Television‘s Prison Break pilot from Elgin James (Mayans M.C., The Outlaws). Though it shares a name with the 2005 Fox TV drama, James says this version will be its own thing, just set within the same universe as the original series from Paul Scheuring.

Netflix and AGBO’s adaptation of the Alex North novel The Whisper Manhas added another star to its ensemble with Michael Keaton (Beetlejuice, Batman) joining the the feature adaptation of the pic starring Robert De Niro. John Carroll Lynch, Hamish Linklater, Owen Teague and Acston Luca Porto are also on board joining De Niro as well as Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan. James Ashcroft is set to direct, with Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer adapting the script.

After Hailee Steinfeld’s buddy series Hawkeye premiered back in 2021, the actress reprised her role of Kate Bishop in The Marvels and What If…?, and she will also voice the character in Marvel Zombies later this year, but we are still waiting for her to come back in a bigger way. There have been rumors about a second season of Hawkeye, and the post-credits scene in The Marvels seemed to set up Young Avengers (now known as Champions), but nothing has been officially announced.

Prime Video has released a first look teaser trailer for the L.A. based detective series, Ballard, based on the books by Michael Connelly, and set in the same universe as the Bosch series. Titus Welliver even makes an appearance in the video. The show stars Maggie Q in the title role of Renee Ballard, the detective who oversees a new cold case division at the L.A. Police Department, and gets into some deep water digging into some of these cases.

Michael C. Hall is returning to the role of Dexter in the upcoming sequel series Dexter: Resurrection. The original series ran for eight seasons on Showtime, and ended with what fans thought was the serial killer’s demise. But he returned in the one-off limited series Dexter: New Blood, where he again seemed to have died in the finale, and he voiced the consciousness of his younger self as the narrator in Dexter: Original Sin.
