Nothing sounds more idyllic to me than spending long, lazy days holed up in a cute little cottage nestled in the French countryside. The kind with rustic stone floors, copper pots hanging in the kitchen, and gorgeous French doors you can throw open to let in the sunshine. When life gets hectic, that’s the kind of vacation I dream about. Although I won’t be escaping to a rural French cottage this summer, I can channel that countryside charm at home.

As soon as the temperature creeps up above 70 degrees, I want to eat all my meals outside. I’m lucky to have a backyard with a patio where I can dine outdoors to my heart’s content, and I plan on doing just that all spring and summer. It’s such an easy way to romanticize a simple weeknight dinner or my usual morning coffee and toast. All you need is a few pieces of outdoor-friendly dinnerware (there’s no way I’m risking my nice stoneware dishes out on my stone patio).
