    The Irish Cancer Society’s ‘Your Health Matters’ roadshow will be at the Bridgewater Shopping Centre in Arklow from 9am to 6pm on Wednesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 29. The service is free and allows members of the public to have a consultation with a specialist cancer nurse. No booking is required and during each session there is the opportunity to have a free blood pressure check, body mass index reading and carbon monoxide check.

    Across Ireland, 99 Blue Flags and 70 Green Coast Awards were announced on Friday, with six beaches in neighbouring Wexford being awarded Blue Flags, and a further two being awarded on the northern border in south Dublin, along with Blue Flags being given to two of Wexford’s marinas. However, for a fourth successive year Wicklow will only have three, with recognised beaches that attract plenty of swimmers missing out.
