A new 40-acre subdivision called Wilmer Woods was approved at the April 9 Wentzville Board of Aldermen meeting. A bill to annex the 39.9 acres of land located off of Interstate Drive between the Boulevard subdivision and the Silver Pines Ridge neighborhood was unanimously passed; a secondary bill to rezone the land and approve Luetkenhaus Properties’ preliminary development plan passed, but was opposed by Alderman Jordan Broviak (Ward 2).

Rezoning for a proposed development was tabled by the St. Charles County Council after opposition from residents in the northern part of the county. The area in question is 37.84 acres located between Hwy. 79 and Dyer Road, south of the city of St. Paul. It is mostly rural, with the Riverdale subdivision located north and The Grove development to the west.

A decision to preserve the 2020 general election ballots was made after multiple St. Charles County residents spoke out against Election Authority Director Kurt Bahr’s recent disposal request at County Council meetings in March. The residents expressed a desire to preserve voting records for election integrity, especially regarding the 2020 general election. This led Bahr to remove that election’s ballots from his records destruction request.

The project to rehabilitate the Mexico Road bridge that spans Dardenne Creek between West Sunny Hill Boulevard and Devondale Place Drive is in motion. On March 27, the St. Peters Board of Aldermen passed a bill awarding the project to Gershenson Construction Company Inc. According to St. Charles County, the current bridge is 63 feet wide with four lanes of traffic and a narrow sidewalk north of the bridge.
