    A selection of US beers have been found to contain levels of “forever chemicals” that exceed the Environmental Protection Agency’s limit. The discovery was made by the ACS’ Environmental Science & Technology team which recently conducted a study to find out how polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) or “forever chemicals” get into beers and how much they contain. The researchers outlined that PFAS are human-made chemicals produced for their water-, oil- and stain-repellent properties.

    Czech breweries are seeing a boom in production led by a rise in export sales and local demand for non-alcoholic beer. According to figures from the Czech Breweries and Maltsters Association, last year the production of Czech beer reached a 15 year high with Czech breweries producing around 4.2% more than in 2023. This marked a rise to almost 20.9 million hectolitres of beer being brewed last year alone.

Personal update: Last week’s operation led to some nerve damage & rising pain. Neuropathic, apparently. I’m still in hospital. But I have a Fentanyl button. Today is my birthday. Seems apt to spend it taking some hardcore drugs & wearing something backless.
