Yangon Region Tourism Committee stated that new investments worth K3.77 billion flowed into the hotel sector in the region. Yangon Region Tourism Committee granted licences for four hotels at the meeting 1/2025 held at the meeting hall of the Yangon Region government office on 11 April 2025. Additionally, the committee renewed 65 licences of the hotel, 19 of the guesthouses and two of the hostels.
