Adjudication is a popular and widely used means of resolvingdisputes in the UK. The right of parties to construction contractsto refer disputes arising "under the contract" toadjudication, as mandated by section 108 of the Housing Grants,Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (HGCRA), is wellestablished. inquiry phase 2 report (the Report) was released on 4 September
2024. Spanning seven volumes and more than 1,700 pages, the Report
offers an in-depth analysis of the evolution of building
regulations, fire safety standards, and the broader fire testing
landscape. The Report makes 58 recommendations, many of which are
aimed at addressing the regulatory deficiencies which led to the
tragedy.
