I’m an open book. I share a lot of my personal experiences, and I’ve noticed that with marginalized communities, they’re more prone to share,” Gabriela Carpenter, a family support specialist at the EPCC, said.

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) Board of Trustees unanimously approved district staff’s proposed operational budget for the 2025-2026 school year and a new compensation package that will include pay raises for teachers and staff. The vote was made at a special board meeting on Wednesday, June 18. However, trustees Daniel Call and Valerie Ganelon Beals were not present.

It is only one of just three school school districts across the country to receive the certification and the first in West Texas, according to district officials.
