Federal immigration police last week detained a Brazilian man living in Marlborough, Mass., and in a surprise move, swiftly transported him to a Texas facility. Attorneys say the transfer indicates he is being tracked for deportation, despite entering the U.S. legally and possessing no criminal record.

Crews from about two dozen agencies have battled a wildfire that burned down more than 40 acres of the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton. The fire was contained by Tuesday night, with a few firefighters staying behind to monitor the smoldering remains. The Blue Hills fire was one of hundreds that have flared up across Massachusetts since October. Officials are anticipating some much-needed rain later this week, as a significant drought has taken hold across the state.

More than 100 anti-abortion activists — the vast majority of them men — marched along a roughly three-mile stretch in Boston toward the city's common Saturday. The march was met with a roughly equal-sized counter-protest, with many dressed as clowns to mock the men and their message. Participants in the so-called "men's march" began their stride at around 11 a.m. outside the Planned Parenthood on Commonwealth Avenue. As they made their way toward the Parkman Bandstand, they recited the Hail Mary.

State Auditor Diana DiZoglio has campaigned hard for Question 1, which would clarify whether she has the power to audit the Massachusetts Legislature. But the office is already far behind with its mandated audits, a WBUR review has found. By law, the office must complete audits of about 200 state agencies every three years. WBUR discovered the office hadn’t audited nearly half of them by that deadline, according to a review of its website.
