The centerpiece of the Kia Carnival minivan is the hybrid drivetrain, which consists of a small 1.6L four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, producing a combined 242 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission puts the power to the ground with an unexpected kick thanks to its electrically supported acceleration. Jesus R.

I spent the Memorial Day weekend catching up on the second episode of HBO Max’s retro-themed crime thriller, Duster. The story is set in the early 1970s. The show doesn’t clarify what year it is beyond snippets of historical references to Watergate and the death of J Edger Hoover. This episode mentions Elvis Presley’s live satellite show Ahola from Hawaii as an upcoming event. So, I assume Duster is set during the fall months of 1972.

Mercedes-Benz offers only two true convertibles in its lineup of sedans, SUVs, EVs and commercial vans. One is the iconic Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster. The Toyota Tundra has earned its spot on the Mount Rushmore of pickup trucks alongside its Big Three competitors. Not just as a Texas-built truck, but because it forged a reputation for durable dependability without ever using a diesel engine. Unlike the other truck makers, Toyota does not offer a heavy-duty variant of the Tundra. There are no dually wheel setups or one-ton weight classes; the Tundra has always been a half-ton pickup.

This month began with a hands-on preview of the updated 2026 Genesis GV70, a compact luxury crossover SUV that received its first generational update since its debut in 2020. The GV70 is the smallest gas-powered SUV in the Genesis lineup, representing the brand as an introductory model. It also accounted for 35% of Genesis' total sales in 2024, making it the automaker’s most popular model. Demand for these SUVs is so great that the Alabama-based production plant can't produce them fast enough.

Tried watching @tomsegura new sketch show on Netflix. Awful. Even by 13 year old sense of humor standards. Couldn’t even sit through the end of the second sketch. Going to watch rewatch I Think You Should Leave again. #Netflix

Any #FordTrucks collectors out there. I got one for you. Just went live on #eBay https://t.co/o8H73EudB1

There are those I love Those I respect Those I tolerant But I’ll be damned if I ever worship somebody because of their position, status, income, or influence. Nobody is somebody. We’re all just bodies.
