The Biden Administration is holding up important action on menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars that is long overdue. As Black leaders in the South Bay, we urge the White House to approve the Food and Drug Administration's plan to prohibit menthol cigarettes nationwide or risk losing more Black lives. The sale of select flavored cigarettes has been prohibited since 2009 but has not included menthol.
