1. IntroductionSoil salinization, a major ecological and environmental problem frequently encountered in arid and semi-arid areas, significantly affects crop growth and yield, and thus agricultural sustainable development [1]. Approximately 20% of the world’s cultivated land is impacted by soil salinity, and this is expected to expand as a function of climate change and unsustainable land management [2].
