Dear Editor, A recent study examining the relationship between daily activity levels and elder abuse and neglect in Turkey offers critical insights into the complexities of maltreatment among older adults (Bülbül Maraş and Ünlübaş 2025). The research demonstrated that factors such as lower education, poor self-rated health, intrafamily conflict and regional variation were significantly associated with increased risk.
