1 INTRODUCTION It was hypothesized that cognitive flexibility is a relevant psychological mechanism underlying the pathology of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) (Chamberlain et al., 2007; Robbins et al., 2019). Extensive evidence has revealed that patients with OCD would exhibit impaired cognitive flexibility (Gruner & Pittenger, 2017; Gu et al., 2008; Robbins et al., 2019), which is closely related to persistent intrusive thoughts and rigid compulsive behavior (Robbins et al., 2019).
