3. Results 3.1. Quantification of TPC, TFC, and Extraction Yields per Solvent of Rhamnus formosanaThe stems of R. formosana were extracted using various solvents, including 100 °C water, water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane. The TPC, TFC, and extract yields of each extract were determined and are shown in . The extraction yields ranged from 0.23% (n-hexane) to 9.85% (100 °C water), and the yield of 100 °C water was significantly higher than other solvents.
