The club’s Bolton Amazons team had an open training session for girls rugby last Thursday as the section continues to grow. Sale Sharks player Laura Perrin was in attendance to greet and meet new players she has been working with in schools across Bolton.

2 1/1 There was contrasting fortunes for the men’s senior sides at Bolton Rugby Club as they returned to action after the festive break. The firsts lost 45-10 at home to Widnes in the Counties One ADM Lancashire and Cheshire League, but the second XV beat their Blackpool counterparts in NOWIRUL Wayne Lord Plumbing Division Three North 28-20.

2 1/1 History was made last weekend for Bolton Rugby Union Club as their women’s team had their first ever outing. The women travelled to Clitheroe and despite the miserable and wet weather, there were happy faces after a tight affair which Clitheroe edged six tries to five Both teams were made up of players who are new to the game and the aim was to have lots of fun.
