The Polaroid Now+ Generation 3 ($139.99) is a slightly upgraded version of the first-edition Now+ that I reviewed a few years ago. Like its predecessor, the Now+ mixes a cheeky '90s-style exterior with simple one-button operation, and more creative features available via a Bluetooth-connected app. However, its color I-Type film isn't always predictable, must be shielded from light as it begins to develop, and is expensive to use.

Polaroid's Flip ($199.99) instant camera leans into nostalgia headfirst. It marks the return of the flip-up lid from vintage cameras like the Sun 600, and includes a better lens and more reliable autofocus than the Now+ Generation 3 ($139.99). It's hard to make an argument that it's sensible to use the finicky, $2-per-photo film when Fuji's Instax films are more reliable and about half the cost, but it's also hard to deny the Flip's retro appeal.

It's been five long years since Peak Design entered the tripod market with its innovative, lightweight Travel Tripod. Despite launching at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Travel Tripod proved successful, enough for Peak to double down and develop a Pro Tripod in three sizes: the compact Pro Lite, the standard Pro, and the appropriately named Pro Tall.

The OM System OM-5 Mark II ($1,199.99, body only) mirrorless camera is a relatively light update to the OM-5, which itself was a warmed-over edition of the Olympus E-M5 Mark III. OM is getting as much mileage out of the aging platform as it can, and the Mark II comes with a refreshed menu system and a USB-C port, addressing two of my gripes about the OM-5 directly.

The Birdfy Feeder 2 Pro ($299.99 with lifetime subscription) is a formal sequel to the Netvue Birdfy AI, one of the first smart bird feeders in a growing product category. The Feeder 2 Pro comes with a freshly designed app that makes it easy to sort through videos and pictures of birds and critters that stop in for a snack, improved video and picture quality from a fun dual-lens camera, and an all-new feeder design with smarter aesthetics.

Just published: my review of the Canon EOS R5 Mark II which proved to be a substantial step up from the original in terms of focus, e-shutter usability, and video. https://t.co/FUOXN35jG3
