OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - WOWT General Manager Jim McKernan announced his retirement from television after a 44-year career in broadcasting, which began at WOW Radio in 1981. He has served as General Manager of WOWT-TV since 2021. McKernan spent the last 29 years as either a General Manager or Regional Vice President for several companies, including Gray Media, Quincy Media, Bonten Media, and Emmis.
