Paul was the star of a Torquay Antiques fair at the Livermead House Hotel in Torquay. He was delighted to be in Torquay, saying: "It was great to meet so many members of the community and see their treasures. "It is always so interesting to discuss with people what the items mean and where they came from.

I was taken in by Mathew Prichard when he took to the stage to talk about his grandmother. Grandmother was Dame Agatha Christie, the world's best selling author and Queen of Crime. The occasion was the unveiling of a bronze statue in her honour in front of hundreds of people on Torquay harbourside. Mr Prichard's few words were witty yet touching and moving and for the first time - at least for me - explained just how much his grandmother really loved Torquay.

The Rotary Club of Brixham held a fundraising fashion show to raise funds for local charities with the support of the Rotary Sunrise Club and the generosity of Torquay department store Hoopers. Rotary Brixham President Susan Laurie said: “The evening was very exciting enhanced by Trudi Knapman, the Hoopers Store Manager, who proved to be a very entertaining host introducing the models, describing their clothes along with the history of some of the brand names.
