Many people are currently struggling with the gift buying process for Christmas. There are lots of articles and blogs about the "most thoughtful"; however, that made me wonder about the least thoughtful gifts. This blog is dedicated to the clueless humans that think some of these gifts are even worthy of giving. My most memorable "least thoughtful" gift I ever gave my wife was a fish tank. I thought she would enjoy the peaceful tranquility watching the fish.

In the December 2024 ActiveRain Challenge, it was asked what the best gift to give might be. To me, it is any gift from the heart. It doesn't have to be expensive, it just has to be meaningful. I think this resonates with me since I always loved the song and the meaning behind "The Little Drummer Boy". I remember for my 14th birthday, my parents took me to a restaurant where my brother worked.

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. Maybe that is because my ties to it started way before I grew out my white beard, it started even before I was born!Both my parents were half Norwegian, therefore, so am I. Did you know that Santa Claus is called “Julenisse” in Norway. Like Santa Claus, the Norwegian Julenisse is believed to be based on legends about Saint Nicholas, a bishop who lived in what is now Turkey around the 3rd century.
